Your air conditioner in Southwest Florida runs ten to eleven months a year under continuous load. That is not how these systems were designed to live. The $49 AC Tune-Up, Normally $109
One full tune-up on one residential system for $49. This is a real service visit, not a five-minute look at the outdoor unit. Here is the entire checklist we run:
- Evaporator and condenser coil cleaning
- Capacitor testing under load
- Drain line cleaning and flush
- Contactor inspection
- Electrical connections inspected and tightened
- Motor and blower check
- Refrigerant level check
- Temperature split test
- Full safety inspection
- Static pressure check where applicable
You get told what we found, including anything that looks like it is heading toward a problem, before it becomes an emergency call on a 95 degree afternoon.
Two Things to Know Before You Book
The $49 tune-up is residential only. We do maintain light commercial equipment, but rooftop units, package units and multi-system buildings get quoted on their own because the work and the access are not comparable. Call and we will price it for the equipment you actually have.
It is also for a system that is currently working. If your AC is not cooling, is leaking water, is icing up, or has stopped altogether, that is a diagnostic service call at the $109 residential rate, not a tune-up. We would rather tell you that up front than show up and have an awkward conversation on your driveway. The good news is that $109 is credited toward the repair when we do the work. The True Care Club
If you want the system looked after without having to remember to call, the residential maintenance agreement is $199 a year for one system. That covers two full tune-ups, spring and fall, plus priority scheduling ahead of non-members and up to 15% off any repairs you need.
Multiple systems are priced together rather than per unit:
- One system, $199 a year
- Two systems, $382 a year
- Three systems, $538 a year
- Four systems, $694 a year
- Five systems, $850 a year
That is less than seventeen dollars a month for one system, against a break-fix call that starts at $109 before parts.
Why Florida Is Harder On Equipment Than Anywhere Else
Three things happen down here that do not happen in most of the country. Coils load up with dirt faster because the system runs almost continuously and pulls that much more air across them. Drain lines clog constantly because a Florida air handler pulls gallons of water out of the air every day, and standing water grows algae. And within a few miles of the coast, salt accelerates corrosion on contactors, capacitors and the condenser itself.
None of those are dramatic failures. They are slow ones. Efficiency drops, your electric bill creeps up, and the compressor works harder every season until the day it does not start.
Maintenance Keeps Your Warranty Valid
Most manufacturers require documented annual maintenance for the equipment warranty to stay in force. If you have a system still under warranty and you have skipped tune-ups, you may have already given up coverage you paid for. We leave a written record of every visit so you have the documentation if a claim ever comes up.
