Derrik has called Southwest Florida home for over 20 years. He grew up watching this region grow from quiet coastal communities into a thriving place people are proud to raise families — and he's proud to be one of them.

After high school, Derrik enrolled at the Fort Myers Institute of Technology, where he spent two focused years learning the science behind HVAC systems — not just how they work, but how to diagnose them fast and fix them right. He graduated with his hands already calloused and his instincts already sharp.

Over the next 13 years in the field, Derrik worked on everything from family homes in Cape Coral to light commercial buildings across Lee, Collier, Hendry, and Charlotte Counties. He saw it all — systems patched with the wrong parts, customers overcharged by companies more interested in upselling than solving, and families left sweating in the Florida heat while waiting days for a callback.

That's when True Care Air was born.

Derrik started True Care Air with one mission: to be the company he always wished existed — one where the owner is the technician, the pricing is honest, and the work is done right the first time. No runaround. No overselling. Just real expertise from someone who genuinely cares about the people he serves.
