Ductwork Repair & Replacement in Bonita Springs, FL

I'm Derrik Speck. True Care Air LLC is mine, license CAC1824801, insured, and I do the work myself instead of sending someone. Bonita Springs is really two towns as far as duct is concerned, and I quote them completely differently. There are the older cottages and small homes near the water off Bonita Beach Road, and there are the newer gated communities inland along Imperial Parkway, Coconut Road, and out through Bonita Bay. Same city, two entirely different problems.

Near the Water

The older beach places are small, they have been added onto, and the duct usually reflects every one of those additions. I find undersized systems asked to carry a room that got enclosed, duct routed through tight attics with no room to do it right, and salt working on collars and boots from the inside out. Some of these houses still have duct older than the last two owners. Coastal humidity is the other factor. Duct that has lost its insulation value sweats, and sweating duct in a low attic turns into ceiling stains and worse.

Inland and Gated

The newer communities are a different conversation. The duct is not old and it is rarely falling apart. What I find instead is builder-grade flex run long to hit a distant bedroom, returns sized to pass inspection rather than to move air, and one or two rooms that have never kept up since the day the house was handed over. Homeowners assume that means the AC is undersized. Most of the time the equipment is fine and the delivery is the problem.

  • One room that has been hot since the day you moved in
  • Duct sweating, ceiling stains, or mildew smell near a register
  • Rusted collars and boots on homes close to the beach
  • An addition or enclosed porch tied into a system that cannot carry it
  • Weak airflow at the far end of the house while the near rooms overcool
  • Long flex runs with slack, kinks, or crushed sections in the attic

What I Actually Do

Duct repair, duct replacement, sealing, and adding or relocating runs. On the older places near the water, the honest answer is sometimes that the system was never sized for the square footage it is being asked to condition and no amount of duct work fixes that. In a newer inland home, the fix is often much smaller than people expect. Resizing a return or rerouting a single run can turn a hot room around. When duct needs replacing I install R8 flex. Duct replacement in Lee County is permitted work and I pull the permit.

What I Will Not Do

I do not do air duct cleaning. I don't own the machine and I won't sub it out to look like a full-service company. If you were quoted a cleaning to fix a hot room, weak vents, or a musty smell, that is not the fix. A musty smell is usually moisture, and the answer is finding where the duct is sweating or leaking, not vacuuming it out. Cleaning will not change one degree in your back bedroom.

Getting Me Out There

Residential diagnostic is $109, and you get a flat repair price before I start any work. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. $129 weekend daytime. $150 after 5pm or before 8am. $159 on holidays.

If the equipment is part of the problem, I also do AC repair in Bonita Springs and full system installation, and on a coastal home the salt exposure means condensers here rarely go the distance they would inland. If a changeout is on the table, price it roughly with the replacement cost calculator first, and remember there is 0% financing through Wells Fargo for qualified buyers, covered on the financing page. The Southwest Florida ductwork page has the rest of how I work.
