Emergency AC Repair in Lehigh Acres, FL
I am Derrik Speck. True Care Air LLC is me, one truck, and the parts on it. I take after-hours no-cool calls in Lehigh Acres, along Lee Boulevard and Sunshine Boulevard and out into the blocks past them. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call or text (239) 810-2500.
Lehigh is spread out, so let me be honest about drive time
Lehigh Acres is not laid out like the rest of Lee County. Big lots, long straight roads, and addresses that can sit fifteen minutes off Lee Boulevard once you are into the numbered streets. I am coming from Fort Myers, so a Lehigh call takes me longer to reach than a Fort Myers call does. I will give you a real arrival window on the phone instead of telling you I am on my way and then showing up ninety minutes later.
The other thing about Lehigh is the equipment. A lot of these houses are still running the system that came with them. When a system is fifteen or eighteen years old, the failures stop being random. Parts wear out roughly on schedule, and the schedule is usually the first hot week of the year.
After 5pm the booking form will not help you
This matters. Online booking on this website only offers appointment slots up to 5pm. If it is nine at night and your air is out, the form will offer you tomorrow, and I will have no idea you need me tonight. Call or text me directly. That is the only thing that reaches me after hours.
What a call costs
Dispatch is priced by the appointment start time.
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm: $109 residential, $129 commercial.
- Saturday and Sunday daytime: $129 residential, $129 commercial.
- Any visit starting after 5pm or before 8am on any day: $150 residential, $200 commercial.
- Holidays: $159.
The residential diagnostic is $109, and you get the full repair price before I start.
Three things to check before I drive out
- The breaker in the panel and the disconnect box outside. Check both, because a tripped disconnect looks identical to a dead unit.
- The air filter. A filthy filter starves airflow, freezes the coil, and leaves you blowing warm air.
- Standing water near the air handler, which means a clogged drain line tripped the float switch and shut the system off deliberately.
Given the drive out here, I would rather spend five minutes on the phone walking you through those than charge you $150 to flip a breaker.
What I can fix tonight and what I cannot
I carry capacitors, contactors, float switches, fan motors and refrigerant. A failed capacitor is the most common after-hours no-cool call there is, and it is usually a same-night fix. On older Lehigh systems a tired blower motor or a stuck contactor is common too, and both are often same-night.
Here is what I cannot do at midnight. I cannot replace a compressor. I cannot install a coil that has to be ordered from a supply house that opens at seven. On a system with original equipment still in it, that outcome is a real possibility, and I would rather tell you that plainly at the door than string you along. If it turns out the system is done, there is 0% Wells Fargo financing for qualified buyers, and the replacement cost calculator will show you the range before we talk numbers in person.
Most emergency calls were preventable months earlier
Nearly every after-hours call I run in Lehigh Acres was avoidable in March. A capacitor testing low, a drain line half closed, a contactor pitting up. Those get caught on a routine visit, which is exactly why I push maintenance in Lehigh Acres and the region-wide AC tune-up program, especially on an original system. If the problem can wait for daylight, start on my AC repair and HVAC service in Lehigh Acres page, and the Southwest Florida emergency AC repair page covers how I run after-hours work everywhere else.
