Emergency AC Repair in Naples, FL
I am Derrik Speck, owner and technician at True Care Air LLC. I take after-hours no-cool calls across Naples and Collier County, from North Naples and Vanderbilt Beach through East Naples and out into Golden Gate Estates. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call or text (239) 810-2500.
Naples is really two different service areas
Near the coast, from Vanderbilt Beach through the western side of North Naples, salt exposure is the story. It corrodes contactors, pits electrical connections, and chews on condenser coils and cabinets. Those homes fail electrically more often than they fail mechanically, and electrical failures are the ones I can usually fix the same night.
Golden Gate Estates is the opposite problem. It is genuinely rural. Lots run acres deep, driveways are long, and addresses out past the last paved cross street add serious drive time coming from Fort Myers. I will give you an honest arrival window on the phone rather than a number that sounds good. If you are out in the Estates, say so when you call so I can plan the run properly.
After 5pm you must call or text
This is the part people miss. Online booking on this website only offers appointment slots up to 5pm. If it is the evening and your AC is down, the booking form will only offer you tomorrow, and I will have no idea you needed somebody tonight. Call or text me directly. Nothing else reaches me after hours.
What the visit costs
Dispatch is priced by the appointment start time.
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm: $109 residential, $129 commercial.
- Saturday and Sunday daytime: $129 residential, $129 commercial.
- Any visit starting after 5pm or before 8am on any day: $150 residential, $200 commercial.
- Holidays: $159.
The residential diagnostic is $109. You get the full repair price before work begins.
Three things to check before you call
- The breaker in the panel and the disconnect box outside. Coastal disconnects corrode, and out in the Estates a well pump or generator transfer setup can complicate the panel, so check both.
- The air filter. A filthy filter chokes airflow and freezes the coil, and a frozen coil blows warm air.
- Standing water near the air handler. That means a clogged drain line tripped the float switch and the system shut itself down.
Given the drive to some Collier addresses, I would much rather sort one of those out on the phone than charge you $150 to reset a breaker.
What I can fix tonight and what I cannot
I stock capacitors, contactors, float switches, fan motors and refrigerant. A failed capacitor is the most common after-hours no-cool call I run and it is usually a same-night fix. Near the coast, a burned contactor is right behind it and is also same-night.
What I cannot do at midnight is replace a compressor or install a coil that has to be ordered. Those need parts and daylight, and I am not going to tell you otherwise to keep you on the hook. If the system is finished, I will say it plainly, there is 0% Wells Fargo financing for qualified buyers, and the replacement cost calculator will give you a real range before we ever discuss equipment.
Most emergency calls were preventable months earlier
Almost every one of these night calls was visible on a spring service visit. A capacitor reading low, a contactor pitting, a drain line closing up. Coastal Naples equipment in particular needs the coil rinsed and the electrical checked more often than inland equipment does, and a house at the end of a long Estates driveway is the last place you want to be waiting on a truck at 10pm. That is the argument for maintenance in Naples and the wider Southwest Florida tune-up program. For anything that can wait for business hours, start on my AC repair and HVAC service in Naples page, and the Southwest Florida emergency AC repair page explains how I handle after-hours work region-wide.
